Ingredients:

Hook: size 12 standard dry fly
Thread: Coffee 8/0 Guidebrod
Body: Seed Beads red ant (3) 2 for rear and 1 for head
Hackle: Furnace
Wing: Short piece of mylar tinsel
Other Materials: 5 minute Epoxy

Tying Instructions:

De barb hook. Place hook in vise, etc.

Slide on seed beads. Make a thread bump behind last bead near bend in the hook. Trap rear beads against thread bump, slide bead for head against eye of hook wrap thread between front and back beads to keep in place. Coat lightly with head cement. Let dry.

Now mix up some 5 minute epoxy. You really need a rotary vise to do this right. While rotating the fly apply a small amount of epoxy to the back beads. Just enough to cover the beads and give the body a taper. Repeat the process for the front bead. Keep the center of the hook free of epoxy. Rotate until epoxy has set. Set aside to dry.
